Common questions

How is the score worked out?

Every game starts at 0. Each card on a foundation is worth 5 and each finished suit another 35; each undo costs 3 and each extra pass through the deck costs 100. The score never goes below 0. Win, and a time bonus is added: 600 for a win inside a minute, then less each second, gone by five minutes. A fast win with one pass and no undos scores 1000.

My Top 10 isn't on my other device

The Top 10 syncs through iCloud. Check that each device is signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on. Syncing can take a few minutes. The lists are merged, keeping the best ten of both. Without iCloud, each device keeps its own list.

My win isn't on the Game Center leaderboard

Only wins are posted, and only while you're signed in to Game Center. A leaderboard keeps your best score, so a lower one doesn't replace it. A restarted game never counts (see below). Changes can take a little while to show up in Game Center.

What is Hard Core?

A harder game with a limited number of passes through the deck: one in Draw 1, three in Draw 3. Turn it on in More ▸ Settings. Hard Core wins have their own Game Center leaderboards and are marked HC in your Top 10.

What does Restart do?

With Restart button turned on in Settings, Restart deals the same game again from the start. A restarted game scores 0 and doesn't go into your Top 10 or Game Center, so a deal you've already seen can't be replayed for a better score. Starting a new game ends that.

Can I get a game back after deleting the app?

No. The game in progress and your settings are kept only on the device and go with the app. Your Top 10 comes back from iCloud if you were using it, and Game Center keeps your best scores.

Can I change how it looks?

Yes, in More ▸ Settings: four card faces, four backs, the draw pile on the left or right, and the win animation (or none). With Reduce Motion on in your device's settings, no win animation plays.

The app collects nothing itself. What iCloud and Game Center carry for you is in the Solitaire privacy policy.
